I made a 3D lego in my design class. I used a free program called Blender that is easily accessible to download online. When I was first introduced to it , it was definitely confusing because there are so many settings and shortcuts to doing things on there. Through learning how to use it I learned that you have to have a lot of patience to work on this program. There was a lot of trial and error I went through while learning how to use Blender.
As long as you have the motivation to learn how to use the program you will successfully learn how to use it. I thought it would be like rocket science but after I watched a few videos and tutorials on how to use the program everything became easier and more familiar to me. There are a lot of tutorials on YouTube that really helped me out while working on my project outside of class.
After I got the hang of the settings and modes on Blender I began to enjoy it. I think I have learned the basics on how to use the program and feel comfortable enough to make more projects out of it. I never would have imagined myself making 3D models so fast. I feel like I’ve learned a lot more than what I expected to learn.
I made a simple lego of myself. I have long hair, green eyes with glasses, and I mainly wear graphic tees. I originally tried to make a room that looked like my bedroom so I added posters and art to the wall. Once I got done building the objects everything became easier. I felt like there was more freedom to do what I wanted once I started adding textures and colors. It was a fun project.
